More Poppies.

It is no secret that I love poppies. In my garden, I do have rampant Welsh poppies that I am constantly trying to tame  ( eradicate!) but I still appreciate their beauty. Here are a couple of this year's pics of the more cultivated of the species.

This card was made using Clarity's  Funky Foliage stamps. I applied Distress inks on to watercolour card to create a background then, after spritzing the larger stamp with water, stamped the image into it before removing ink with a paper towel. I used a mask made with a Spellbinders die to draw a circle in the centre of a panel before stamping the single poppy seed head 3 times.  I then used the partial die cutting technique to complete the panel. (Still following ??)
This panel was adhered to the watercolour card with 2mm foam pads which, in turn, was added to a 6" by 6" card blank. The sentiment is by Clearly Besotted.

I am entering this into Less is More Challenge 281 with the theme Faux Bleach, HLS Anything goes with Dies and CAS themed Addicted to Stamps and More challenge.

So gorgeously clean and stylish. I love the way the faux bleach technique is a controlled focal point, and the partial die cutting really adds visual impact. Fab!

PS - As well as the AG at HLS, the CAS challenge at HLS is 'ghosting' so this would fit in nicely there too x
