A New Challenge

I used to enter several challenges in the past but not for a long while.

I have decided to join in with the challenge over at CAS(E) this Sketch,   This is the sketch for this week.

and here is my take on it:

.

I embossed the purple DCWV metallic textured  cardstock with a Darice folder before cutting the heart shape with a Sizzix paddle punch.  I glued a small piece of glitter card to the base card so that it would show through the heart aperture.

I Set My Own Challenge

CAS-ual Fridays challenge week is to:

Create a Clean And Simple project that features embossing--
dry embossing, embossing folders, or heat set embossing.

I decided to add my own challenge in making my card.   I wanted only to use dry embossing  - no stamping! I have a number of embossing folders that I haven't used and this was a great opportunity to give three of them their first airing.

Unusually for me, I chose a white DL card for the base.  I rarely use this size but I am now warming to it.  The silver card used for the embossing came from a DCWV Metallic Stack that I bought cheaply at Hobbycraft. It has a linen texture which, unfortunately, doesn't show in the pic.
