Fresh Flowers

One of the benefits of the rainy weather that we are having in the north east of Scotland at the moment is that my garden hose has been made redundant !

I took this photo of one of my rhododendron blooms. The bees and butterflies love this shrub as much as I do.  The colour is amazing.

I used its colour as inspiration for my next card.

The stamped image is from the Fresh Flowers collection by Clearly Besotted. I used watercolour pens to colour then I spritzed the stamp before applying on to watercolour card. Detail was then added with the fine tip of the pens. I die cut the image with the accompanying die.

I used a stencil that I had made from a Silhouette Cameo file and an oval mask to create the background before adding the die cut and the sentiment.

I am entering this into this week's Less is More challenge - USE A STENCIL

Your watercoloured flower is stunning and looks so realistic! It is set off perfectly by the fresh green stencilled background. A lovely summer design. Great to see you at Less is More this week :)

Gorgeous! That's a lovely green behind the flowers giving the card such a fresh zingy feel. Great LIM entry, thank you!

Your rhododendron is gorgeous! So glad you used it as inspiration for this card. The watercoloured effect of the stamped flowers is delicate and dreamy. A super card.
Thanks so much for joining us.
