Amazing Orchids

I have documented before about my love of orchids. They are such givers - lasting many months in flower and (with care)  come back year after year.

Here is one of my more unusual specimens. It has flowered more than once. The colour combination is quite unusual - but I like it.







I chose an orchid theme for a recent card commission. Of course I had to use my orchid punch and stamp.

The colouring of the punched orchid using water colouring pencils is time consuming but therapeutic. The leaves were cut by hand and coloured using my real plants as an illustration.

I have had the orchid patterned vellum  background for some years but decided it was time for it to go!
