My decision to just get on with it was made after a visit to Gay Peplow's blog. She is very talented and I particularly like her "arty" style. (She has more than one). In a recent post she let us see a canvas that she had made which I really loved. This was my incentive and here is what I produced.
Now, my original intention was to make a much simpler piece but I got carried away and kept on going. I must admit that I made a huge untidy mess in the process. I kept looking for other materials to try. It took me ages to put it all away this morning!
I have now decided that I will start creating an art journal where I can try different techniques out first before committing myself to canvas!. I am so excited that I have overcome my fear of mixed media.
Here is a list of some of the resources used:
Sequin waste used as a stencil.
Hero Arts sentiment
Tim Holtz sentiment
Rub on sentiment (BELIEVE)
Heart cut from book page
Various stamps incl. Rollograph music wheel.
Liquid paper
IndigoBlu FlitterGlu and foil flakes
Acrylic paint, Adirondack,Stazon and Distress inks.

Sometimes it's great just to have a 'play' and see what you end up with and sometimes 'more' is best. You've created a super little canvas, love the different inspirational quotes. xx
Hi Lillian, This canvas is so pretty, lots of inspiring quotes and I love the gold leaf it really adds depth. It looks particularly great on the crown:0)
Thank you so much for the shout out, you're very kind:0) I love visiting your creations and find they are beautiful and perceptive. You love trying new stuff, it's a bit of an addiction over here too LOL :0) Can't wait to see your next canvas !! Gay x
