Garden Wildlife Part 2

This is my second post in a series that will relate to the flora and fauna of my garden and how the inspiration that these give me translates into craft projects.  Now, we don't have a large garden but we have managed to pack a lot into it.

The picture today is of one of our three amphibian residents that can be found basking on the pebbles that are at the edge of the pond. I managed snap the larger of the two frogs(on my phone I may add!).  The third is a toad that was rescued from the local school wildlife garden by a teacher friend. It was decided that it was cruel to keep him there because the garden is in a central courtyard that he could not escape from even if he tried.  At least he can now move on to "pastures new" if he so desires.  Toads don't need to be in water so he spends his time hiding in the undergrowth. Hence the lack of photo for my link!!!

Forgive the netting! This has become necessary as the heron at our local River Don have used our pond previously as a fast food restaurant.  The upside is that the frogs don't seem botherd by our presence when they are under it.

So here it is.  This card was made using stamps from Penny Black Toadily Yours set.

The K & Co paper used for the background was left over from another project.   It already had the distressed effect at the bottom so I just  went round the other sides with Distress Ink  Brushed Corduroy.   I coloured some white card with Distress Ink Shabby Shutters using the direct to paper technique.  This  was then diecut with a flourish and circle die.
I used Glossy Accents on the toad image just because the frog in my photo was so shiny that I felt that I had to replicate it.
