All Square

Had a busy day today. Went on a trip with a class at a local school. We visited a park then walked through part of Old Aberdeen to spend some time with a class in another school.  Both classes had taken part in the Forest Schools programme and came together to share their work  and experiences.

The other helper accompanying the class was one of their mums. We had worked together earlier in the year producing 26 Greek costumes for a performance.  We both laughed at the memory of our initial enthusiasm to produce extremely professional garments and also the race at the end to get them finished in time.  We also share a love of cardmaking and other crafts.  It is so rarely that I meet someone that "speaks the language" I hope that she doesn't mind me naming her - Kate Ganson.  She is  a very talented lady and is responsible for the artwork on some of the Personal Impressions sets of stamps.  I am very impressed.

It only goes to show that you are never sure how much you have in common with people in your neighbourhood.  Suze Bain is another crafter who lives locally.  We could start up a group, girls!

On my return home, I continued to tidy up my craft stash.  This has been ongoing for a week now. ( well, actually years). I came across another one of those purchases that disappear from view and the memory. It is the Martha Stewart Stamp Around the Page set - bought from QVC ages ago.  Took a bit of puzzling before I remembered how to use it.  No doubt I will find the instructions tomorrow.   Here is the card that I made with it.

Hi Lilian, The card is beautiful, the little black matt and the oblong sentiment sit perfectly in the middle:0) Glad to hear you are still involved with the school, great fun to be had :0) And I'm so jealous you're near to Suze!! You should start a group and share crafty time, I'd be there in a shot if it weren't rather a long way for me LOL hugs Gay xxx
