Button Easel Card - a new on on me

One of the cards that we made at the Craft day in Ellon on Sunday was a Button Easel Card. I haven't seen one of these before so I decided to recreate it with my own resources.

I can't take any credit for the design as it is almost identical to the one that we made. I have photographed it from the side to give an idea of its construction. The "button" is the scalloped oval that is fixed to the base card with an eyelet which prevents the card from collapsing. Obviously, a real button would have been the original intention.
The paper flowers were made from the same paper as the background. I tore a strip, inked the edge with a brown Promarker, rolled it loosely and fixed to the card with Crystal Lacquer. Not sure about these as they will prevent the card from fitting into the standard envelope. I will have to make a box for it which is a lot more work. Never mind, you have to keep trying out new things in this game!!
Resources
Card - cream (textured), dark brown
Image - Sugar Nellie
Papers; K & Co
Nesties - scalloped circle and oval, leaf punch
Promarkers, Stickles, flat backed pearls, Crystal Lacquer Glaze

OOh I'm liking this one too, for a start the Elizabeth Bell stamp is a real cutie, coloured beautifully! Then, I'm a sucker for green and black and a new easel card to boot it's all here :D
Thanks for your kind comments today:)xx
