Father's Day CAS Challenge

This is my card for the CAS-tastic weekly challenge entitled Father's Day.I have used this design many times for male recipients. Very simple but I still like it. The paper is from a stack by DCWV. I glued the paper on to card then used a template that I made to cut out the tie shape. I cut the knot out again to then decoupaged it with 3D foam. The tie itself was curved slightly, ( doesn't show in the photo) mounted on to 3D foam before placing on the cream card blank. The letters are cut using a Sizzix alphabet die.

For those of you who are not familiar with the term, CAS stands for Clean and Simple.

The guidelines for the design of CAS cards are:

Clean- uncluttered, lots of white or open space.

Simple - clear focal point with little distractions.

Reproducible - can be quickly and easily mass produced.
(taken from the CAS-tastic blog)

I have no dad to give it to and I know that he wouldn't have worn such a garish tie! I don't need Father's Day to remember him. A kind and gentle man who is forever in my thoughts.
